Saint Louis Priory School
Saint Louis Priory School is an academically rigorous Catholic independent day school for boys in grades 7-12 offering a nationally recognized accelerated curriculum designed to qualify its graduates for admission to distinguished colleges and universities and to prepare them for success. Fifth graders can apply for seventh grade entry through our early decision program, and sixth graders can apply through our regular decision program.
The school represents the primary work of the Benedictine monks of Saint Louis Abbey. In 2019, the consumer website niche.com ranked Priory the #1 Catholic high school in Missouri, the #1 all-boys high school in Missouri, and the #1 high school for STEM in Missouri. In addition to offering one of the strongest college preparatory programs in the area, the school seeks to ground young men in the knowledge and practice of the Catholic faith. Priory's curriculum requires participation in athletics, fine arts, community service and a senior thesis. Nearly 100% of the students undertake college-level work in their last two years, and many receive college placement and credit through the College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Program offered in 14 subject areas.
The school is located on a 150-acre campus at the intersection of Mason Road & I-64/40 in West Saint Louis County. Merit-based scholarship is available for highly qualified applicants, and more than 30% of the student body receives tuition assistance, amounting to more than $2 million for the 2019-20 school year. Father Cuthbert Elliott, O.S.B., is Headmaster. Dr. Jared M. Rashford is Associate Headmaster. Priory offers students outstanding preparation for an exceptional life.
