Incarnate Word Academy

Incarnate Word Academy is a college preparatory high school that strives to challenge young women of faith to achieve their God-given potential academically, physically, spiritually and emotionally, thereby empowering themselves and others to make a positive impact on our world. Incarnate Word Academy is committed to cultivating an inclusive, harmonious environment where all students feel welcomed and respected while celebrating that each person is a creation of God.

Incarnate Word Academy boasts a MakerSpace and the CCVI STEM Lab. Students can get involved with the robotics team, esports, and self-directed projects with the 3D printers, laser cutter, and other equipment in the lab. Over 90% of Incarnate Word Academy's student body is involved in at least one extracurricular activity. IWA’s clubs and organizations provide our students with outlets to express their individuality and share their interests with others. Each club meets often and participates in group discussions, field trips, and special events. Students can also get involved with the theater department as a member of the cast or crew of the fall play, spring musical, or the senior-directed one-act play festival. Our athletic department offers 10 sports, cheerleading, and dance teams. The school is a sponsored ministry of the Congregation of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word.
