Upper School Science Teacher Visitation Academy

Visitation Academy, an independent Catholic school offering a coeducational Montessori program in Grades Toddler through Kindergarten and an all-girl environment in Grades 1 through 12, is seeking an Upper School Science Teacher who is passionate about inspiring curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of scientific discovery in students. The successful candidate will create an engaging, student-centered learning environment that emphasizes inquiry, collaboration, and academic excellence while supporting the intellectual, social, and emotional growth of students in grades 9–12. This position requires collaboration with colleagues, active participation in school life, and a commitment to the mission and values of Visitation Academy.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Teach Chemistry and assigned Upper School science elective courses.
  • Develop and implement engaging, inquiry-based lessons aligned with departmental curriculum and school learning goals.
  • Create a classroom environment that promotes scientific investigation, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking.

Candidates should possess a bachelor's degree in science or a related field, demonstrate strong classroom management skills, and have experience working with high school students. A master's degree is preferred but not required.
