Upper School Mathematics Teacher Villa Duchesne
Villa Duchesne is seeking a full-time Mathematics Teacher for our Upper School for the 2025-2026 school year. This position requires that the candidate has a conferred bachelor’s degree in Mathematics (master’s degree preferred) or a degree in mathematics education and has previous teaching experience at a middle or high school level.
The ideal candidate can teach all levels within the curriculum ranging from Pre-Algebra through AP Calculus. Teachers in the Mathematics Department must have the ability to give meaning and value to mathematical concepts by making connections to real-life situations. They use a variety of technology which enables students to discover concepts before formalization.
The ideal candidate will also:
- possess a commitment to using a variety of pedagogical approaches and differentiation strategies in the classroom;
- be able to use technology to build understanding;
- be a relational educator who contributes to the life of the school community as an advisor, club moderator, and proctor;
- be organized and responsive in lesson planning, grading, and communication; and
- be dedicated to the success of each student.
