Upper School Mathematics Teacher Villa Duchesne

Villa Duchesne School of the Sacred Heart seeks a dynamic and relational Mathematics teacher to join our Upper School (grades 9-12) faculty for the 2026-27 academic year. The ideal candidate is a mission-driven educator who brings both strong mathematical expertise and a warm, student-centered presence to the classroom.

We are interested in candidates with the ability to teach a wide array of Upper School mathematics courses, including those at the Honors and Advanced Placement level, and who are eager to help students develop deep conceptual understanding, confidence, and joy in advanced mathematics.

The successful candidate will:

●        Teach a range of Upper School math courses, with priority given to those able to teach Honors and Advanced Placement Math courses.
 

●        Embrace relational learning, building meaningful rapport with students and fostering a classroom environment grounded in trust, curiosity, and intellectual risk-taking.
 

●        Use varied instructional strategies that help students think critically, communicate clearly, and make authentic connections across mathematical content.
 

●        Collaborate with colleagues to align curriculum, support student growth, and contribute to the life of a vibrant all-girls school community.
 

●        Demonstrate a commitment to the Goals and Criteria of Sacred Heart education, including educating to personal growth, fostering intellectual excellence, and honoring the uniqueness of each student.
 

Qualifications:

●        Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics required; Master’s degree preferred.
 

●        Secondary teaching experience preferred, especially in upper-level mathematics.
 

●        A passion for working with high school girls in a mission-oriented environment.
