Third Grade Teacher

The Academy of the Sacred Heart, an independent, private, Catholic school in Saint Charles, MO, invites applications for a 3rd grade teaching position for the 2025-2026 school year.  Ideal candidates should have an excellent background and experience in teaching elementary school children.  Employees of the Academy are required to be collaborative members of a highly professional learning community.

Instruction and Curriculum

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons using a variety of instructional strategies, technology, and assessments to support student learning.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse academic and developmental needs of students.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of student progress and performance.

Classroom Environment

  • Establish a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment rooted in Catholic values.
  • Maintain effective classroom management that promotes student responsibility and self-discipline.
  • Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, collaboration, and critical thinking.

Communication

  • Maintain open, professional, and timely communication with parents/guardians.
  • Provide regular updates on student progress, including report cards and conferences.
  • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, administrators, and support staff.

  • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events.
