Summer Advancement Office Internship Ursuline Academy
The Advancement Team at Ursuline Academy St. Louis invites current college students, recent graduates, and professionals interested in advancement work to apply for the Summer Advancement Office Internship.
Eligible applicants include those with at least 30 college credit hours, as well as recent graduates and professionals seeking experience in nonprofit and advancement work.
This paid internship offers a $1,500 stipend and runs for 7 weeks (2 days per week). Interns will work alongside the Advancement team to support alumni outreach, special events, and donor engagement.
Grounded in the Ursuline mission of service, leadership, and compassion, this experience is designed to build professional skills while making a meaningful impact. Interns will gain hands-on experience in relationship-building within a mission-driven organization.
Interns will also receive a letter of recommendation upon successful completion of the program.
There are two opportunities available this summer to work closely with our Alumnae Relations Office and Annual Giving Office.
Alumnae Office projects include, but are not limited to:

Data / Office Projects for Class of 2026 alumnae info, Memorial Mass list, Alumnae birthday list, Alumnae Athletics list, Alumnae Board Roster, Update alumnae coaches.

Event Assistance with Alumnae Garden Party (June 4-5), including assisting with set up, at the event, teardown of the event, and with details and errands leading up to the event.

Event Assistance with Never Say Goodbye College Send off ice cream social for Class of 2026 (July), including preparing emails for class, assisting with registration, and helping with day of planning and execution.

Event Assist with Ursuline Reunions, including assisting with the coordination of mailing invitations, working with work study students on overseeing the mailing, designing Reunion Weekend centerpieces, scanning alumnae reunion photos to make new posters, and scanning reunion photos for webpage updates and social posts.

Digital Campaign for Alumnae Career Features, including writing and designing at least 12 social media posts for Facebook and LinkedIn featuring alumnae who were guests at Career Day.

Online Audits, such as writing a report on the analytics of our Valuable Connection facebook group noting trends and year to year datapoints to present to the Valuable Connections committee and Board of Directors, and auditing Ursuline Alumnae webpage and note updates needed for the next school year.

Organization in the alumnae closet.

Archive Room assistance with organizing yearbook storage and updating on 2026 items for archive needs.
Annual Giving Office projects include, but are not limited to:

Project USS Club Program to assist in coordinating a student-led philanthropy program dedicated to exploring effective fundraising strategies and applying them through impactful, schoolwide giving events and campaigns, including UA Club Fair, Giving Tuesday Campaign, Plaid Payoff Raffle, Grazie Day, Girls School Unite, and Stewardship Events.

Duties include:

Hosting a student committee workshop to plan and generate program ideas for the 2026-2027 school year.

Communicate with committee members during the summer to produce and prep the student fundraisers/programs.

Create the program timeline with due dates.

Create a budget based on program ideas.

Work with the committee to design club t-shirts and connect with vendors for ordering.

Annual Fund Database to help assist with summer database updates, including but not limited to adding student activities, awards, house system, scholarships names, scholarship documentation in electronic system, and clean up of salutations and name formats.
