Special Assistant to President and Principal De Smet Jesuit High School
De Smet Jesuit High Schools welcomes applications for the position of Special Assistant to the President and Principal. We are seeking a highly skilled and professional individual to fill the role of Special Assistant, providing exemplary administrative support to the President and the Principal. This position will be responsible for managing the daily operations of the President’s Office and assisting the President and Principal in carrying out duties, including providing administrative, clerical, logistic, data collection, records maintenance, and strategic support. The person in this position must sustain a polished interface with diverse stakeholders including the families, faculty and staff, public, donors, and other members of the school community. This position will also manage all Board of Trustees' logistics including those related to meetings, mailings, event invitations, updates and other important communications.
Qualified candidates will have at least five years’ experience in providing executive-level support in a professional setting, proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 Suite and other relevant software (Teams, Zoom, Raiser’s Edge, Blackbaud). Candidates must be able to demonstrate exceptional organizational and time management skills and strong written and verbal communication skills. They must be able to prove that they can work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team and that they can maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. Candidates with a Bachelor’s degree and experience in an academic environment will be preferred.
