Senior Kindergarten Associate Teacher Rohan Woods School

Rohan Woods School is seeking a part-time Associate Teacher to join our Senior Kindergarten classroom for the remainder of the 2025–2026 school year. The Senior Kindergarten class serves five- and six-year-old students and is led by a collaborative teaching team consisting of a Lead Teacher and an Associate Teacher. This hourly position emphasizes caring, consistency, and partnership in building a strong, age-appropriate foundation for emerging readers and developing learners.

Schedule
7:45 a.m. – 12:15 p.m., Monday through Friday
There is a possibility of afternoon substitute teaching if desired. This position includes a two-week winter break and spring break.

Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of a creative, developmentally appropriate learning program.

• Assist in a variety of instructional and hands-on learning activities.

• Encourage the development of social skills, independence, and task completion.

• Foster positive peer interactions and model effective conflict-resolution strategies.

• Guide children during academic exploration, play, and daily transitions.

• Help maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming classroom environment.

• Promote a safe, nurturing, and play-based learning atmosphere for all students.

Qualifications

• Experience working with young children, preferably in an early childhood or preschool setting.

• Warm, patient, and collaborative approach with children and colleagues.

• Ability to follow directions, take initiative, and maintain consistency in routines.

• Strong communication skills and a positive, team-oriented mindset.

• Coursework in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred.
