Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Preschool Classroom Aide to join our Student Support team for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidates will embrace the Charlotte Mason philosophy, demonstrating a deep understanding of its principles and a commitment to nurturing the intellectual, spiritual, and emotional growth of each student. This position reports directly to the Director of Student Support Services.
Employee Status & Compensation:
Start Date: August 5, 2025
Status: .275 FTE; 10-month position (Aug- May), 11 hours/week; 8:00 am - 1:30 pm; Tuesday & Thursdays
Salary Range: $7,400 - $9,750 commensurate with education and qualified experience
Standard Benefits: holidays, school breaks, 14 hours of PTO, tuition reduction for employee children, and a 403b retirement plan with a discretionary match (minimum 1%).
Primary Responsibilities:

Student Assistance:
-
Provide one-on-one or small group support to students who require additional help with academic tasks, assignments, or projects.

Assist students with understanding instructions, completing assignments, and reinforcing learning concepts introduced by the classroom teacher.

Adapt instructional materials and activities to meet the individual learning styles and needs of students.

Behavioral Support:
-
Help maintain a positive and supportive classroom environment by reinforcing classroom rules, expectations, and routines.

Assist in managing student behavior by implementing strategies outlined by the classroom teacher.

Classroom Assistance:
-
Assist the classroom teacher in preparing instructional materials, setting up learning activities, and organizing classroom resources.

Supervise students during classroom activities, transitions, and independent work periods, ensuring safety and adherence to classroom rules.

Help monitor student progress and behavior, documenting observations and providing feedback to the classroom teacher and/or Interventionist as needed.

Restocking of classroom supplies when needed.

Restock classroom cleaning, janitorial, school and office supplies as needed.

Substitute in classes when needed

Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to supporting students in the classroom.

Stay informed about best practices in education, classroom management techniques, and strategies for supporting diverse student populations.

Qualifications:

Experience working with children required
-
Experience working in a classroom is preferred.
