Permanent Substitute & Extended Day Supervisor Rossman School
Rossman School is searching for an experienced educator to serve as a Permanent Substitute & Extended Day Supervisor for the 2025-2026 academic year. As a full-time member of the faculty, the Permanent Substitute assumes instructional responsibilities for both short- and long-term faculty absences.
By building strong relationships with colleagues and students, the Permanent Substitute provides a seamless transition during any teacher’s absence. On days that the school does not need a substitute teacher, the Permanent Substitute assists in classrooms to support student learning. Responsibilities may include working with small groups of students, co-teaching a lesson, assessing student work, or preparing materials for a future lesson.
The Permanent Substitute also helps supervise the school’s Extended Day program. Because of these combined responsibilities, the Permanent Substitute is expected to remain at school until 4:15 p.m. on a daily basis.
The ideal candidate for this position will have a bachelor’s degree in education, a minimum of two years experience teaching in an elementary school, and strong organizational and communication skills, allowing him/her to balance multiple roles.
This individual will demonstrate a dedication to honesty, kindness, respect, and responsibility—the pillars of Rossman’s character program—in his/her interactions with children and adults.
To APPLY: Interested applicants are encouraged to send a cover letter and resume to careers@rossmanschool.org with Permanent Substitute in the subject line.
