We’re a vibrant elementary school on a unique urban campus near Forest Park in St. Louis, seeking a Payroll & Benefits Manager who is as passionate about accuracy and process improvement as we are about serving our faculty and staff.
This role is all about making payroll and benefits seamless, efficient, and employee-friendly. You’ll manage payroll for up to 140 employees, oversee our benefits program, and—most importantly—look for ways to make our systems work smarter.

What you’ll do:
- Manage and process accurate, timely payroll.
- Administer benefits and guide employees through enrollment and changes.
- Maximize the potential of Paycor and Employee Navigator to simplify and improve workflows.
- Serve as a trusted resource for faculty and staff, empowering them to use self-service tools.
- Lead annual Open Enrollment and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
What we’re looking for:
- A minimum of 7-10 years of payroll and/or benefits administration experience.
- Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local payroll/benefits regulations.
- Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
- Strong technical skills with Paycor and Employee Navigator (or similar systems).
- Highly organized, detail-focused, and proactive in solving problems.
- Comfortable with Excel, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace.
- A collaborative mindset and the ability to communicate clearly with a diverse staff.
