Part Time Spanish Teacher Rohan Woods School
Rohan Woods School is seeking a passionate and dynamic Part-Time Spanish Teacher to join our faculty for the 2025–2026 academic year. This position plays a vital role in fostering language development and cultural appreciation among students ranging in age from 2 years through Sixth Grade.
The ideal candidate is an enthusiastic educator who brings energy, creativity, and structure to the classroom, creating a warm and inclusive environment where students are inspired to explore the Spanish language through interactive, age-appropriate activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with the school’s curriculum.
- Teach fundamental Spanish language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Introduce students to the rich cultures, customs, and traditions of Spanish-speaking countries.
- Use songs, games, stories, and movement to enhance student engagement and language retention.
- Foster everyday use of Spanish through classroom routines and real-world applications.
- Maintain a respectful, safe, and welcoming classroom environment.
- Differentiate instruction to support varied learning styles and developmental stages.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education, Spanish, or a related field.
- Classroom experience teaching Spanish to young children.
- Strong verbal and written proficiency in Spanish.
- Familiarity with TPRS (Teaching Proficiency through Reading and Storytelling) is highly preferred.
- Creative, nurturing, and student-centered approach to teaching.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and families.
