Middle School French Teacher Villa Duchesne
Villa Duchesne is seeking a mission- centered, part-time Middle School French Teacher for the 2026-27 school year. The Middle School French Teacher inspires curiosity, cultural awareness, and confident communication in students in grades 6 through 8. This educator designs and delivers an engaging and developmentally appropriate program that deepens students’ proficiency in the French language while expanding their understanding of global cultures, traditions, and perspectives.
The ideal candidate will possess near-native to native fluency in French and hold a bachelor’s degree in French or French Education. Candidates should have prior teaching experience and demonstrate a commitment to using a variety of pedagogical approaches to meet the diverse needs of learners. Experience with Google Classroom and familiarity with the Vista Higher Learning platform are preferred.
Through immersive language experiences and meaningful cultural connections, the Middle School French Teacher helps students strengthen their skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing in French. The teacher fosters a classroom environment that is structured, inclusive, and engaging, where students are encouraged to take linguistic risks, think critically, and grow in confidence as global learners.
A strong commitment to building cultural fluency in students is essential, including a willingness to support opportunities such as language clubs and/or international travel experiences. The successful candidate will be collaborative, innovative, and dedicated to supporting both the academic and personal growth of each student while contributing to the vibrant life of the Middle School.
