Lower School Visual Arts Teacher Villa Duchesne
Villa Duchesne is seeking a dynamic and mission-centered Visual Arts Teacher for our Lower School for the upcoming school year. The Lower School Visual Arts Teacher inspires creativity, confidence, and joyful self-expression in students from Junior Kindergarten 3 through Grade 5. This educator designs and delivers a rich, developmentally appropriate visual arts program that introduces students to a wide range of artistic media, techniques, and traditions—from drawing and painting to ceramics, fiber arts, and mixed media.
Through hands-on studio experiences and meaningful connections to art history and contemporary artists, the Lower School Visual Arts Teacher helps students develop foundational skills, creative problem-solving abilities, and an appreciation for art as a reflection of culture and personal voice. This role fosters a safe, structured, and imaginative environment where students are encouraged to take creative risks, persevere through challenges, and celebrate their unique perspectives, while also contributing to the vibrant life of the Lower School community.
All Faculty and Staff at Villa Duchesne must commit to educating by the values articulated in the Goals and Criteria for Sacred Heart Schools in the United States and Canada. Our Villa Duchesne Sacred Heart educators inspire our students every day with learning and community opportunities.
