Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Long-Term substitute teacher to cover intermittent leave for our Preschool 3 Classroom teacher for the last 3 hours of each preschool day. This position is ideal for an individual who enjoys early childhood education and is comfortable stepping into an established classroom environment

Employee Status & Compensation: 

Start Date: April 20, 2026 (includes 1 week of training with current PK3 teacher)

Grade Level: Preschool - 3 year olds

Status: Temporary position 

Salary: $93.75/day paid on a bi-weekly basis 

Hours: 10:30am - 1:30pm 

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Implement lesson plans and activities prepared by the lead preschool teacher.

  • Maintain established classroom routines and expectations.

  • Supervise students during instructional time, centers, transitions, and dismissal.

  • Foster a safe, nurturing, and engaging classroom environment.

  • Support social-emotional development and positive behavior guidance.

  • Communicate any concerns or notable events to the lead teacher and/or administration.

  • Follow all school policies and safety procedures. 

Qualifications:

  • Experience working with preschool or early childhood students is preferred.

  • Ability to manage a classroom calmly and effectively. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Passion for creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.

  • Commitment to punctuality and reliability.
