Licensed Clinical Social Worker Diagnostician Miriam School and Learning Center
Position: Licensed Clinical Social Worker Diagnostician
Status: As needed, PRN
Hours: Daytime hours, Flexible schedule, Minimum availability of 2 days per week
Pay: Per completed report or $47 per hour
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in social work
- LCSW fully licensed in Missouri
- 2 years of experience evaluating children and adolescents for mental health issues
- Good understanding of DSM-5-TR diagnoses
- Proficient with technology
- Transportation to various schools within the St. Louis area
Job Duties:
- Conduct psychosocial evaluations in a private setting to diagnose ADHD, anxiety, depression and other DSM-5-TR disorders.
- Diagnose disorders using the DSM-5-TR manual.
- Conduct diagnostic interviews and observations with clients and their parents, interview teachers as needed, and distribute and score social/emotional/behavioral rating scales as part of a comprehensive Psycho-Social Evaluation
- Write professional reports, including assessment results and interpretation, as well as diagnostic impressions, and make appropriate recommendations based on findings.
- Complete reports within DESE specified time periods.
- Facilitate report review meetings with parents and/or school personnel.
- Review psycho-educational reports and render DSM-5-TR diagnoses, including Specific Learning Disorders.
- Collaborate with school psychologists, speech/language pathologists, and occupational therapists also conducting evaluations with the same child.
- Make mental health recommendations to school psychologists to add to psycho-educational reports.
- Other duties as set by the supervisor.
Position Includes: Testing in St. Louis City charter schools, private evaluations, and public schools outside of St. Louis County (preschool, elementary, junior, high school, and college).
