Interim Building & Maintenance Associate Central Christian School
Central Christian School has an immediate need for a part-time (20-25 hours per week) Building and Maintenance Associate to further the school's vision and mission by ensuring a safe and attractive school facility and grounds. This position pays $20/hour and is needed through the end of May 2026.
Qualifications
- A profession of faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior
- Personally affirm Central’s Statement of Faith
- A member of a local, Bible-teaching Christian church
Primary Responsibilities
- Regular setup and teardown for scheduled school events, including daily lunch
- Respond to teachers' and staff's classroom and facility needs in a timely manner
- Basic maintenance and repair of the school facility, including landscaping
- Attend to urgent custodial needs that cannot wait to be addressed by our after-hours contracted cleaning staff
- Respond to facility emergencies outside normal school hours (infrequent)
Requirements
- Hands-on knowledge and experience in the safe operation of a variety of tools, machinery, and power equipment used in performing essential functions
- Maintain the ability to satisfy all physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling up to 50 pounds; frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling; reaching above shoulder level; fine finger dexterity, etc.
