Head Dance Coach St. Joseph’s Academy

Dance Coach Job Description:

St. Joseph’s Academy is seeking a Head Dance Team Coach to lead our competitive high school dance program.

Season: April – February
Practices: After school, 3:30–5:30 PM, at least 3 days per week (August–February)

Summer: Ability to assist with summer practices prior to UDA Camp, plus availability for two weeks in the summer for UDA Camp and SJA Mini Camp

Competitions: December – February, including 3 local competitions, Nationals in Florida (late January/early February), and State Championships at the end of February.

Qualifications:
• Minimum 2 years coaching a competitive high school dance team
• Extensive dance and technical training
• Strong knowledge of hip hop and jazz technique
• Familiarity with Varsity/UDA camps and nationals
• Experience preparing teams for UDA Nationals and state-level competitions
• Passion for mentoring strong, motivated high school athletes

Weekend choreography sessions will take place in early fall.
