Position Description: Churchill Center & School is looking for a motivated, energetic, child-centered individual with strong verbal and written communication skills and effective classroom management to teach daily 1:1 tutorials and small class size curriculum classes.
Required and Preferred Skills:
Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Education (specialization in Learning Disabilities or Dyslexia preferred)
Responsibilities:
- Support Churchill’s mission and vision
- Teach daily 1:1 Tutorials
- Teach small group curriculum classes
- Co-teach daily Homeroom
- Complete student quarterly reports and goals and other student information (i.e. staffings, effective techniques, student profiles, sub-plans, and other documents to enhance diagnostic and prescriptive teaching)
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide each student with a child-centered program
- Conduct professional parent conferences
- Participate in daily faculty meetings, student meetings, and monthly team meetings
- Participate in frequent professional development
- Contribute positively to the Churchill community
- Perform assigned duties (i.e. recess, lunch, study hall, dismissal etc.)
- Complete other duties assigned by the Head of School
