Full Time Teacher Churchill Center & School for Learning Disabilities

To foster greater understanding and support for all people with learning disabilities by training other educators, supporting our families, and enlightening the community. 

Position Description: Churchill Center & School is looking for a motivated, energetic, child-centered individual with strong verbal and written communication skills and effective classroom management to teach daily 1:1 tutorials and small class size curriculum classes. 

Required and Preferred Skills:

Bachelor's or Master’s Degree in Education (specialization in Learning Disabilities or Dyslexia preferred)

 Responsibilities:

  • Support Churchill’s mission and vision
  • Teach daily 1:1 Tutorials
  • Teach small group curriculum classes
  • Co-teach daily Homeroom
    • Complete student quarterly reports and goals and other student information (i.e. staffings, effective techniques, student profiles, sub-plans, and other documents to enhance diagnostic and prescriptive teaching)
    • Collaborate with colleagues to provide each student with a child-centered program
    • Conduct professional parent conferences
      • Participate in daily faculty meetings, student meetings, and monthly team meetings
      • Participate in frequent professional development
      • Contribute positively to the Churchill community
      • Perform assigned duties (i.e. recess, lunch, study hall, dismissal etc.)
      • Complete other duties assigned by the Head of School
