Full-Time Music and Drama Teacher (2025–2026 School Year) Rohan Woods School
Rohan Woods School is seeking a passionate and experienced Music and Drama Teacher to join our faculty in a full-time capacity for the 2025–2026 school year.
Rooted in our mission to foster confident, capable, and compassionate learners, Rohan Woods is a Project Approach school serving students from age 2 through Sixth Grade. With one classroom per grade, our small class sizes and student-centered learning environment enable meaningful relationships and individualized instruction. Our approach emphasizes critical thinking, collaboration, and creativity, making the arts an integral part of the student experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Teach engaging music and drama classes to students age 2 through Sixth Grade, cultivating a joyful, inclusive environment.
- Plan and direct four annual performances that showcase student creativity and growth: a school-wide musical for Grandparents’ and Special Friends Day, two musical presentations during Parents’ Breakfasts, and a culminating spring theatrical production.
- Provide both individual and group instruction to support skill development and self-expression.
- Collaborate with faculty to support school-wide events and integrate performing arts into interdisciplinary learning.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and community events.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and support student success across all grade levels.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree required in field related to the fine arts.
- Minimum three years of experience teaching music and drama to preschool and elementary-aged children in a school setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in instrumental music and theatrical productions.
- Passion for inspiring young learners through creative expression.
