A private, Catholic school, serving students with learning disabilities grades K-12th grade, seeks highly qualified, self-motivated, student-centered, special education teacher to join its professional learning community. 6:1 student to teacher ratio with paraprofessional classroom support.

Job Summary:

The successful team member will have an in-depth understanding of the teaching and learning process needed to support students with autism and learning disabilities. Also, familiar with ABA therapies and trauma informed behavior model.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor Degree (master’s preferred) in special education (social/emotional disabilities) with a valid Missouri Teaching Certificate with certification for teaching Special Education.
• Two-year minimum teaching experience as a lead teacher within a special education classroom and a strong working knowledge of the Catholic Faith.
• He or she must be a compassionate, positive educator, challenging and aiding students in meeting their annual academic, social, and emotional goals.
