POSITION DESCRIPTION
SUMMARY:
Miriam School and Learning Center seeks an organized, detail-oriented, and mission-driven Development
Coordinator to support fundraising, donor stewardship, events, sponsorships, and advancement
operations.
This entry-level position is ideal for someone interested in building a career in nonprofit fundraising and
advancement. The Development Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Advancement and
Advancement Team to support annual giving efforts, donor stewardship, sponsorship fulfillment, event
logistics, prospect research, and campaign activities. The successful candidate is highly organized,
proactive, professional, and eager to learn.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree preferred

Experience in nonprofit, fundraising, marketing, customer service, sales, hospitality, or event planning

Strong organizational skills

Excellent written and verbal communication

Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Ability to manage multiple priorities

Positive attitude and willingness to learn
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES:

Donor Stewardship & Advancement Support
-
Assist with donor acknowledgment and stewardship activities
-
Draft thank-you letters, emails, and donor communications
-
Prepare donor meeting materials and briefing documents
-
Support Legacy Society stewardship efforts
-
Assist with scholarship donor stewardship and reporting
-
Coordinate donor tours and visits
Sponsorship and partnership Support
-
Track sponsorship commitments and benefits
-
Coordinate sponsor recognition and fulfillment
-
Assist with sponsorship outreach and follow-up
-
Maintain accurate sponsor records
Event Support
-
Support planning and execution of fundraising and stewardship events
-
Coordinate event logistics, RSVPs, nametags, and materials
-
Assist committee volunteers and event sponsors

Support event preparation for:

Minds in Bloom Gala
-
Donor Appreciation Event
-
Giving Days
Prospect Research & Pipeline Development

Conduct donor and prospect research
-
Identify potential corporate, foundation, and individual supporters
-
Maintain prospect tracking systems
-
Assist with campaign preparation activities
Administrative Support

Prepare reports and presentations

Support Board and committee activities

Maintain files and records
-
Assist with special projects as assigned

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Full-time position, 40 hours per week

Standard days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:30am to 4:30pm, with some occasional mornings, evening and weekend activities.

Ability to travel between various Miriam locations.
