St. Joseph’s Academy is a college preparatory school in Frontenac, Missouri sponsored by St. Joseph Educational Ministries. Position Summary:
The Advancement Assistant is a 12- month full-time position and supports all aspects of fundraising, administrative duties and special event support. This position plays a key role in ensuring the smooth execution of fundraising activities and maintaining strong relationships with donors, alumnae, parents, and community partners. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Advancement and supports a team of fundraising professionals.
Specific Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day administrative support for the team and VP of Advancement.
- Assist with donor stewardship activities, including appreciation gifts for key holidays, birthday cards and e-mails, letters from students, prayer cards and more.
- Prepare nametags for special events through the donor database.
- Coordinate and order items and materials from vendors/distributors to support events.
- Assist with volunteer committee meetings, including calendar invitations, virtual attendance preparation and the taking of minutes and visual presentation needs.
- Support the VP of Advancement on duties to support key initiatives as assigned.
- Assist with post-event support and attendee reconciliation.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Google Platforms, knowledge of fundraising database, Raiser’s Edge/NXT a plus.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.

- Prior experience in fundraising, education, or nonprofit administration a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and strong attention to detail.
- Available on select evenings and weekends as needed.
