Position Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Elementary Teacher to join our 3rd grade team for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal candidates will embrace the Charlotte Mason philosophy, demonstrating a deep understanding of its principles and a commitment to nurturing the intellectual, spiritual, and emotional growth of each student. This position reports directly to the Director of Teaching. 

Employee Status & Compensation: 

Start Date: August 5, 2025 

Status: 1.0 FTE; 10-month position, 40 hours/week based on class schedule 

Salary Range: $40,000 - $50,000 commensurate with education and qualified experience for 1.0 (or the equivalent of) full time employees 

Standard Benefits: holidays, school breaks, 48 hours of PTO, tuition reduction for employee children, $2,000 Qualified Small Employer Health Reimbursement Account (QSEHRA) and a 403b retirement plan with a discretionary match (minimum 1%).

Primary Responsibilities: 

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons incorporating living books, narration, and hands-on activities.

  • Create a positive and respectful classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love for learning.

  • Establish strong relationships with students, parents, and colleagues to support a collaborative and supportive learning community.

  • Participate in professional development opportunities to continuously enhance teaching skills and stay updated on educational best practices.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field

  • Valid teaching certification for elementary education is preferred 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Passion for creating a positive and nurturing learning environment.

  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students.
