St. Louis University High

St. Louis University High (SLUH), a Catholic, Jesuit college preparatory school for boys in grades 9-12, challenges students to think critically, lead courageously and transform the world as Men for Others. A robust academic program and extensive co-curricular opportunities allow students to explore their interests and maximize their potential. The school offers exceptional campus facilities in a carefully and professionally managed environment of up-to-date security practices, protocols and procedures.
At SLUH, each student is embraced with respect and inclusion through need-blind admission, status-blind friendships and a rich diversity of cultures and perspectives. Students represent the entire metropolitan area, coming from 88 zip codes and 157 feeder schools. This year alone, 50 percent of students benefit from $6.1 million in need-based financial assistance, with an average grant of nearly $13,000. In addition to ensuring that no qualified young man will be turned away for financial reasons, the school's large endowment solidifies long-term access for all qualified students.
SLUH faculty personify cura personalis, or care of the whole person, by putting the success and well-being of students as the focus of their work. More than 95% of the faculty hold advanced degrees, and all are committed to professional development in their respective disciplines. Two new endowed programs are positioning SLUH as a national leader in classroom teaching and STEM programming, respectively: the Sciuto Institute for Teaching Excellence and the Conrads Program for Integrated Sciences.
In addition to earning several honors in recent past – including AP School Honor Roll (Platinum), National Blue and Green Ribbon School, STL Headliner Best Private School and a Newsweek Top STEM High School – SLUH has captured the Metro Catholic Conference All-Sports Trophy, awarded to the school with the best conference finish in all sports, the past four years.
A SLUH student has a distinct competitive advantage of a strong intellectual and moral foundation to further the common good and succeed in all facets of life. He reaps lifelong rewards and enjoys enduring friendships from his unparalleled experience at SLUH.
