Position Overview:
City Academy is seeking enthusiastic and dedicated substitute teachers to join our dynamic educational team. Substitute teachers are responsible for maintaining a safe and engaging classroom environment, delivering lesson plans provided by the regular classroom teacher, and ensuring that all students have the opportunity to continue their learning effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver instruction according to lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning environment.
- Adapt teaching methods to fit the needs of students.
- Communicate with students and staff effectively.
- Provide feedback on student progress and any issues encountered during the day.
- Follow all school policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field preferred.
- Prior teaching experience is highly desirable.
- Strong classroom management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to adapt to various teaching environments and student needs.
- Commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
