Substitute Teacher Rossman School

Rossman School is building a team of dedicated substitute teachers who will provide classroom instruction and supervision in the absence of a homeroom or specialty teacher. At Rossman, substitute teachers support the academic program and student learning while modeling our school values—honesty, kindness, respect, and responsibility. 

This position is ideal for retired teachers and those just beginning their careers in teaching who wish to gain more classroom experience with children in a joyful elementary school setting. Typically, substitute teaching responsibilities are full-day, from 7:45 a.m. through dismissal at 3:15 p.m., yet there is often a need for half-day substitute support. 

Rossman School is an independent day school situated on a beautiful 20-acre campus in Creve Coeur, Missouri, serving students in preschool through sixth grade. Rossman’s strong academic program challenges and stretches each student through team teaching with two experienced educators at all grade levels. 

We love our substitute teachers and view them as an important part of our school community! Daily rate of pay reflects our deep appreciation for the critical work of substitute teachers throughout the school year.
