School Nurse Rossman School
WONDERFUL OPPORTUNITY FOR AN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL NURSE
Rossman School has an immediate opening for an experienced School Nurse. Responsible for the management and coordination of health services, the School Nurse provides medical care to elementary students, administers medications, maintains student health records, provides health education training to staff, and promotes physical and mental wellness within the school community. This is a full-time position (during the school calendar year).
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

Provide on-site emergency and general healthcare to students ages 4 to 12 years.

Serve as liaison between school personnel, families, healthcare providers and health department.

Maintain confidential student medical records, including immunizations. Ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements.

Provide daily care for students with diabetes, allergies, asthma.

Administer medications, treat minor injuries, apply first aid.

Conduct annual training for faculty and staff including CPR, Epi-Pen and Glucagon training.
Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Current license to practice as a professional registered nurse in Missouri. BSN preferred.

Minimum 1-3 years nursing experience, pediatric experience preferred

CPR/AED certification

Experience working with children

Strong written and verbal communication skills
