Principal Rosati-Kain Academy

Rosati-Kain Academy is seeking a Principal for the 2026-2027 school year. Reporting to the President, this position serves on the senior leadership team as the academic leader of faculty and students. The ideal candidate is an innovative visionary who values student-centered experiential education and empowering young women in a spiritual environment. The principal is charged with integrating RKA’smission into all aspects of the school community. 
 

Key Responsibilities: 

Mission: Through an innovative Catholic education, we cultivate the individuality, faith and talent of diverse young women who aspire to lead and serve the world. 

  • integrates the mission of Rosati Kain Academy in all aspects of the school community exudes the charism of the sisters of St. Joseph in all relationships 

  • models and celebrates Catholic spirituality 

Innovative Curriculum and Instructional Leadership: 

  • directs innovative instructional leadership across all curricular and co-curricular programs 

  • develops subject-matter expertise on the best evidence-based pedagogical practices in order to inspire and mentor faculty’s professional growth 

  • collaborates with faculty to establish curricular goals and ensures vertical and horizontal alignment that supports the mission 

  • collaborates with faculty to provide culturally responsive teaching as well as experiential and transdisciplinary learning opportunities 

  • provides constant and clear communication and feedback to faculty, students, and families 

  • facilitates faculty discussions and workshops  

  • promotes collaboration among all faculty and staff to ensure academic excellence

  • manages the accreditation and reporting processes and all required data 

  • oversees faculty assessment processes 

  • committed to supporting faculty well-being and morale 

  • continues the tradition of an academically rigorous college-preparatory curriculum while serving an increasingly diverse student body 

Leader of the Student Experience: 

  •  committed to ensuring students have a transformative experience 

  •  cultivates relationships with students so that they each are known and nurtured

  • oversees design and implementation of student extracurricular programs, including athletics, arts, leadership and student-led clubs

  • develops subject-matter expertise on social and emotional learning, adolescent psychology, and spiritual development 

  • collaborates with families to support both the academic and the social and emotional needs of students 

  • oversees policies and implementation of matters related to student discipline

  • provides consultation and mediation for faculty-student and student-student relationships sets high expectations for following policies and norms while shaping personal responsibility, restorative practices, and appropriate consequences 

  • works with appropriate faculty and staff to promote students' academic success 

Other Responsibilities: 

  • manages day-to-day operations of the school 

  • provides a visible, approachable, and professional presence in all school affairs

  • has primary responsibility for communicating with students’ families

  • attends selected events on and off-campus 

  • oversees budgets and other financial/business responsibilities related to academics, extra-curricular activities and the student-experience 

  • assists in recruitment, retention, and hiring of diverse faculty and staff 

  • manages scheduling and calendar planning 

  • collaborates with director of admissions and other administrators to recruit students who are academically prepared for Rosati-Kain 

  • has primary responsibility for designing and implementing programs and policies related to school safety

● at least 5 years of experience in education 

● graduate degree in education or related field
