Part-Time Math Specialist Rossman School

Rossman School seeks a Part-Time Math Specialist for the 2025-2026 academic year. Nestled on a 20-acre campus in St. Louis, Rossman School is an independent private preparatory school for students in Junior Kindergarten (age 4) through Grade 6. For over 100 years, Rossman has provided children with a solid foundation in academics, athletics, and the arts while cultivating strong character and leadership skills.

The Part-Time Math Specialist will support student achievement using the Everyday Mathematics curriculum, project-based learning, and small group instruction as a collaborative team member committed to Rossman’s values of honesty, kindness, respect, and responsibility.  

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate strength in teaching mathematics for both conceptual understanding and skills mastery.

  • Use a variety of instructional methods to create a dynamic learning environment with engaging lessons that apply differentiated instructional strategies.

  • Engage in ongoing communication with parents regarding student progress.

  • Coordinate extracurricular math clubs, contests, etc. 

This individual will demonstrate a dedication to the Rossman values in his/her interactions with children and adults. He/she will possess a love of children and will also demonstrate poise, professionalism, a strong work ethic, the ability to effectively interact with parents, and a commitment to professional development. 

Experience in an independent school is not required. The Math Specialist’s part-time schedule is to be determined with a maximum of 20 hours per week.
