Latin Teacher The Wilson School
The Wilson School, located in Clayton, seeks a stellar educator to teach Latin to 4th-6th grade students. This position is one day per week.
Wilson is a close-knit community with 170 students, ages three through sixth grade. Each grade level consists of one class taught by a team of two homeroom teachers. Outside the homeroom team, specialist instructors who teach art, music, library, technology, physical education, and French complement Wilson's exceptional academic program.
Wilson prepares students for success in an ever-changing world. In doing so, the instructional practices we use are both classic and innovative. Our commitment to professional development is unmistakable, as we spend more than twice the national average on growth-oriented activities for our faculty.
At Wilson, we assume an ongoing responsibility to act as part of a larger community. In our recruitment practices, we strive to create a community whose members reflect the diversity inherent in the greater St. Louis area, as well as in the world. The Wilson School is a place where children can listen, question, challenge and probe, thereby making sense of their world. When children graduate from the school, we hope they will carry with them a strong sense of their identity, a willingness to see the common threads that run through all our lives, and a high regard for the value and breadth of differences.
If your educational values and ambitions align with these beliefs, we encourage you to express your interest to teach at Wilson School.
