If so, Marian Middle School is looking for a part-time Development Assistant to support our team, helping us to empower Marian Girls through transformational education.
About the Role
Now celebrating 25 years educating girls for life, Marian Middle School is the only school of its kind in St. Louis, providing 11+ years of transformational education to girls to break the cycle of poverty.
This isn't just an administrative role; it's an opportunity to be at the heart of our fundraising efforts. You'll help us ensure every donor feels valued and appreciated, and build lasting relationships that fuel our mission. If you love optimizing systems, maintaining pristine records, and crafting compelling communications, you'll excel in this position.
What You'll Do

Donor Relations & Data Management:
-
Process gifts, pledges, and payments accurately and efficiently (using Raiser's Edge/NXT).

Create, maintain and update donor records, ensuring data integrity and optimizing our database's potential.

Generate impactful donor and campaign reports, providing key insights for proactive outreach and donor re-engagement.

Prepare and mail personalized donor acknowledgment letters and other vital communications, ensuring timely and kind responses.

Work with our Business Manager to reconcile gifts and batches with accounting.

Collect data and produce narratives for grant reporting and complete grant reports.

Campaign & Event Support:

Register and enter guests & sponsors in the event management system.

Track and file event and campaign expenses.

Collaborate closely with our team to seamlessly execute our annual campaign and dynamic fundraising events.

Operational Excellence:

Maintain an organized inventory of collateral materials.

Qualifications:

1-3 years of data entry experience.

Proficiency in batch entry and donor databases, experience working with Raisers Edge/NXT is highly preferred.

Excellent detail orientation, accuracy, organization, and time management skills.

Excellent interpersonal skills for interacting with donors, and Marian parents and students.

Strong written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to work independently, and collaboratively.

Knowledge of, or enthusiasm for, the principles and practices of fundraising.

Proficiency in data management, CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and Google Suite.

Ability to attend night and weekend events as needed.

High School diploma or equivalent; associate’s degree or higher preferred.

Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and be able to navigate St. Louis.
Physical Work Requirements/Work Conditions:

Constantly operates computers and other office equipment.
-
Works in an indoor office environment, spanning 4 floors within a school (no elevator).
-
Occasionally required to move materials up to 40 pounds.
-
Valid drivers license and ability to travel to accommodate staff support at fundraising events, procure supplies as needed, or deliver donor materials.
Compensation and Benefits:

$20 to $25 per hour, based on experience.
