Basketball – Assistant Coach & JV Head Coach Visitation Academy

Visitation Academy, an independent Catholic school, is seeking an Assistant Basketball Coach and JV Head Coach for the winter 2025-26 season.

Position Overview

The Assistant Coach will support both the JV and Varsity basketball programs (Grades 9-12), working closely with the Varsity Head Coach to create a positive and competitive student-athlete experience aligned with the school's mission and values.
The JV Head Coach will lead the Junior Varsity team, collaborating with the Varsity Head Coach to develop skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in coaching and developing student-athletes in both the JV and Varsity programs.
• Serve as a role model, demonstrating Salesian values and fostering respect among players, opponents, officials, and spectators.
• Plan and implement effective practice sessions to promote player growth and competitive excellence.
• Support game strategy, scouting, and skill development.
• Communicate effectively with athletes, parents, and school administration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Previous basketball coaching experience in a competitive environment.
• Proven ability to mentor and work with high school student-athletes.
