Camp Carvela

Sessions: June 15-August 15, 2025

Camp Carvela is a co-ed summer camp located in Traverse City, MI offering day camp and overnight camp for kids ages 7 to 15 and a dedicated teen program for campers ages 16 to 18. 

Situated on 50 acres of forested land along the shores of Bass Lake, Camp Carvela offers ample space for campers to explore and play. Emphasizing an unplugged experience, Camp Carvela encourages creativity and invites campers to design and lead daily activities alongside staff members. As a result, there's no "typical" day at Camp Carvela! Campers enjoy traditional camp activities like swimming, canoeing, and crafts while also getting to bring their unique game, project, and adventure ideas to life!

Carvela's philosophy emphasizes inclusion, collaboration, and playfulness, with a goal of helping campers deepen their sense of self and build meaningful connections with others. 

In addition to traditional summer sessions, Camp Carvela offers Spring Break Camp and Family Camp, catering to various interests and schedules.

Camp Carvela is part of Project Foxwood, an outdoor education organization that also includes Camp Lookout and Crystalaire Adventures.
