Camp Carvela

Camp Carvela is a co-ed overnight and day camp located in Traverse City, MI. 

We pride ourselves on fostering an inclusive and supportive community where kids are encouraged to explore their interests and try new things. Our camp philosophy emphasizes choice, creativity, collaboration, and community-building, with a special emphasis on camper-led programming. 

In addition to classic camp activities like canoeing and crafts, Carvela campers can choose from a wide variety of unique activities each day that are designed and led by fellow campers. At Carvela, campers and staff work together to bring campers' wildest ideas to life -- if you have an idea for a game, excursion, project, or activity, we'll find a way to make it happen! 

Camp sessions are available in one- or two-week options. Each session is capped at approximately 60 campers to help foster a family-like atmosphere and encourage meaningful connections between campers and staff. 

Add-on adventure trips are available through Camp Carvela's sister program, Crystalaire Adventures.
