The country is crippled by political polarization; it’s time for schools to help out. This presentation makes clear that polarization will shape the experience of today’s students well beyond their schooling, and it examines that challenge through a leadership lens.

This workshop will position school leaders to value the work of political depolarization and aspire for their teaching faculty to model the bridge-building dispositions and skills we wish to instill in our students. Furthermore, it will invite attendees to lean into the challenge of vexing questions that will require sustained attention if we are serious about preparing today’s students to ease tomorrow’s political polarization.
