Social Justice

A primary tenet of Independent Schools of St. Louis’ strategic plan states that ISSL will serve as a convener (and information hub) for diversity initiatives within the independent school community. ISSL will coordinate efforts aimed at the diversification of school stakeholders in member schools by providing professional development opportunities to expand understanding of diversity and inclusion issues and best practices for ISSL schools around student and family life, teaching and administration, curriculum development, and community engagement.

Our core value proposition is to promote collegiality by leveraging the power of the group to positively impact students, member schools, and the greater community. ISSL stands ready to listen, learn, take action and support our network of schools and the communities they serve.
