Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center

Sessions: June 17-August 18, 2024

Stagedoor Manor is the premier summertime training ground for young performers ages 10 to 18 from all over the world. We have 8 theaters, and we produce 42 full-scale shows each season. Every student is cast in one of the 14 different productions (both musical and non-musical) that take place each session. Classes are offered at beginner to advanced levels in almost any theater subject you can imagine: dance, tech, acting, audition prep, song, directing, make-up etc. Students choose their classes based on their own focus of interest. There are even opportunities to write and direct your own original material, both in classes and through our student driven Dramafest Playwriting Program.

Located in the Catskill Mountains of New York, Stagedoor residential camp program is housed in a former summer resort. For over 47 years, passionate young performers have come to us to learn more about their art, and themselves while making lifelong friends along the way. Cast vs Cast Volleyball, DJ Dances, and talent shows are only a few of the ways our students create lasting Stagedoor memories.

We at Stagedoor Manor are committed to all levels of talent and experience. Students are admitted (without auditions) on a first come basis. Our primary purpose is to create an enriching summer atmosphere where young people can learn and grow through the fun of theater. “Process, rather than product” is the Stagedoor mantra. Education is our mission, and community is our goal.

Notable alumni include Robert Downey Jr., Natalie Portman, Beanie Feldstein, and Sebastian Stan. Winner of the NY Theater Museum Award “Excellence in Theater Arts Education. Go to for more information.
