Little Grassy Camp & Retreat Center’s entrance transports you from the hustle and bustle of everyday life into a place of unforced rhythms and life in Christian community. Whether on the archery range, paddling across the lake, or engaged in team building, campers are invited to experience a different pace, to escape from their everyday schedules and enjoy the beauty and wonders of creation. Little Grassy Camp and Retreat Center provides a place for campers to slow down, unplug, and grow in their faith. Our mission is to connect people, nature, and Christ. We prioritize safety and we are committed to best practices as established through our accreditation in the American Camp Association and through the State of Illinois. 

While we offer a wide variety of camps for children from 1st to 12th grades during the summer, we really excel with our adventure camping programs. Little Grassy is on a 1,000-acre lake in a national wildlife refuge and less than ten minutes from Giant City State Park. We use this to our advantage by taking canoe trips on the lake and offering a clean, sandy beach for swimming. At Giant City, hiking and rock climbing on the sandstone bluffs is sure to provide your camper with memories that will last a lifetime. No matter what adventure we are on, we see campers grow throughout the week. In 2023, 92% of our parents reported their child left here with more self-confidence.
