Our number one priority is you and your child. We strive to deliver unforgettable sleepaway camp experiences.

The 2024 season will be the 102nd anniversary of summer camp on the shores of Little Bear Pond and Directors Ephram and Lori Caflun’s 28th year at Wekeela! Along with our sons, Jonathan and Matthew as our Assistant Directors and our daughter in-law, Jenna, we are keenly aware that when kids go to camp, they make positive gains in self-reliance, independence, communication, and self-esteem. Please visit our website to view our parent testimonials, camp videos, and take a 360˚ interactive tour for a digital familiarization of our beautiful mountain lakefront property. You will see the unique setting of Maine that has been luring summer visitors for centuries.

We relish the opportunity to be partners with our parents as we help children grow and thrive. Sleepaway camps such as Wekeela help children to make friends, learn social skills, gain independence and, of course, have hours of outdoor fun. The Wekeela family has children and staff from over 28 states and 20 countries! We help youth establish strong worldwide friendships, ethics, and pride -- all of which contribute to a lasting sense of community.

At Wekeela, campers become part of something greater than themselves. They get to connect with nature and friends. They learn to live with and help others. They make choices. They navigate social situations. They develop their social and emotional intelligence, and lots more. They’re living in the moment, making connections, and taking the time to better understand themselves and the world around them. By sending your kids to our sleepaway camp, they will make positive gains in self-reliance, independence, communication, and self-esteem.

Thank you for considering Camp Wekeela!
