Toddler Classroom Assistant Part Time Chesterfield Montessori School

Chesterfield Montessori School (CMS) seeks a part-time Toddler Classroom Assistant for Extended Care for the 2024-2025 school year. The hours are 2:00 pm to 5:30 pm. Additional hours will likely be available for subbing in other classrooms.

Our Toddler classrooms serve children 16 months to 3 years old. These students are working to develop language, gross and fine motor skills, and toilet independence. The classroom is set up similar to a home, with distinct areas for preparing food, eating, changing clothes, toileting, group activities, individual work, and quiet moments. Students also spend ample time outdoors. Assistants support the Toddler classroom by working with the teacher to create a beautiful, well-ordered environment that cultivates curiosity and encourages independence.

This job requires experience working with young children, patience, kindness and outstanding interpersonal, observational and communication skills (English is a must; other languages are a bonus). Our team members have a growth mindset, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and parents. Candidates must be permanent U.S. residents or possess an H1B Visa. Exposure to Montessori education is preferred but not required.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 per hour

• Monday to Friday 2:00 – 5:30 PM
